Adding a New WordPress Admin User

 

Sometimes you’ll want to pay someone else to develop your Wordpress site - maybe just add a wordpress landing page, or just do some custom css on your wordpress site, either way it’s good practice to make that person an administrator Wordpress user account. This way you can disable it later when they have completed their job, and you avoid giving out your own passwords.

Add a New User

In your Wordpress Dashboard, go to Users > Add New.

Click the Add New, button.

Enter User Details

Be sure to set the role to Administrator at the bottom of the New User form.

 
 

That’s it, you’re all done! Send the Username/Password of your newly created WordPress administrator user to your new Web Developer and relax while they do all the hard work for you.
